Job Summary:

Pininfarina of America is seeking a talented and ambitious Architect to join our Miami, FL. office. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage in a variety of projects ranging across multiple scales and typologies. The ideal candidate will possess strong design capabilities, excellent technical skills, and experience in managing diverse architectural projects. Fluency in both English and Portuguese is required, catering to a diverse client base. This role reports directly to the Chief Architect.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

·       To research, program, plan, design, and administer building projects for clients, applying knowledge of architectural design, construction detailing, construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materials and systems.

·       Produces conceptual plans, renderings, and documents.

·       Plans and programs layout of project(s); coordinates and integrates engineering elements into a unified design for client review and approval.

·       Utilizes computer-assisted design software and equipment to prepare project designs and plans.

·       Produces construction documents in AutoCAD and Revit.

·       Working with the Project Managers, may direct, supervise, and check activities of workers engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents for the Conceptual Design Phase, Schematic Design Phase, and/or the Detailed Design Phase of a project.

·       Interfaces with the Chief Officer of Architecture and Senior Design Manager.

·       Works in tandem with highly collaborative multi-disciplined design teams.

·       Assists in research and coordination of materials and products for project specifications.

·       Project time tracking using Resource Management by Smartsheet.

·       Other related duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications & Skills:

·       3-6 years of proven experience with large-scale international projects.

·       Strong aesthetic design sensitivity with technical knowledge.

·       Experience in coordination with clients and consultants.

·       Excellent level of communication and organization, control, and management of the project budget.

·       Ability to articulate design concepts precisely, comprehensibly, and in a graphically engaging way.

·       Experience in geometric optimization and fabrication processes for complex geometry.

·       Skilled in researching technical solutions with the ability to resolve details through cutting-edge solutions.

·       Ability as a team leader.

·       Knowledge of products, materials, and construction methods.

·       Advanced knowledge of 3D and 2D software (Rhinoceros, Grasshopper, Revit are a must)

·       Knowledge of 2D drawing in AutoCAD

·       Knowledge of rendering software such as V-ray, Lumion, Twinmotion

·       Fluent in English and Portuguese. Italian is a plus.
